The original Bullworker was created by Gert F Kolbel. This exerciser has been called the green monster, Classic, Tensolator, Macho Power or the Original.

Subsequently Kolbel developed a new product called the Bullworker X5. This product was patented in the late 1980s. The difference between this isometric exerciser and the ones previous to it was that it allowed for a full range of motion. So Isotonic training became easier.

Bullworker X5 – The Breakthrough Bullworker

The X5 was designed as a three tube system. In other words each side could move independent of  the middle bar (the chrome tube part.)  This allowed for a better workout due to the fact that each side of the body could be exercised independently. It also allows each side of the body to pull its own weight, similar to a set of dumbbells or resistance bands.

The X5 also introduced straps instead of cables and it allows for using the plastic bar handles to perform additional exercises. Since the introduction of the Bullworker classic  there has been some newer designs in the Bullworker. I refer to these as Bullworker alternatives
